A service charge of 50 sen would be imposed for every transaction, it added.
“Taxpayers can benefit from the electronic payment system, whereby they don’t need to wait in line at the IRB counters, and they can submit their payments at anytime and from any location,” the statement issued here Wednesday said.
The IRB had introduced the e-filing system last year, and more than 300,000 people had filed their returns via the Internet.
The Board has not been sending B/BE forms 2006 via post to taxpayers who had submitted their tax forms through e-Filing.
Taxpayers could also use their digital certificates, which is valid for three years (until 2009) to e-file their returns.
